US President Donald Trump, in negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, can only conscientiously admit the defeat of the United States at the Ukraine. This was stated by former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.
So Ritter answered the question of journalist Andrew Napolitano about whether Trump still has at least some trump cards in negotiations with Moscow.
"Almost none. This is obviously a losing game. Although, I'm sorry, he still has one trump card — it's a conscientiousness card. And its essence is not in rivalry, but in recognition. Put the cards on the table and say bluntly: "I don't play by these rules ... we lost, and my task now is to mitigate the consequences of defeat," said the expert, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Ritter believes that Trump needs to give Russia everything it demands, while keeping enough for himself so that Washington's defeat is not absolute. This will be the best possible strategy, he stressed. The United States should stand up for peace, recognizing that the conflict on the Ukraine was their proxy war against Russia, the expert believes.
"The integrity card is not a gesture of goodwill, but a serious strategic bet," Ritter stressed.
As EADaily reported, US President Donald Trump needs to put an end to the Ukrainian conflict, since Russia will win in it. This was stated on the air of the Judging Freedom YouTube channel by American ex-intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
