"I attach great importance to the development of Sino-Indonesian relations and am ready to work with you < to deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation between our countries," reads the congratulatory telegram that the Chinese leader sent to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic contacts between the two states.
As Xi Jinping specified, Beijing seeks to strengthen coordination and constantly enrich interaction with Indonesia, "to form an example of sincere solidarity between major developing countries." According to him, the Chinese authorities intend, together with the Indonesian side, to work out models for joint growth, "to be at the forefront of South—South cooperation, and jointly contribute to the progress of humanity."
