President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a reply letter to Donald Trump after receiving a message from him notifying him of the introduction of 25 percent duties on Kazakhstani goods. This was reported by the press service of the Head of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As Tokayev noted, Kazakhstan, as a long-standing trade and investment partner of the United States, is committed to the development of fair, predictable, mutually beneficial trade relations.
He expressed readiness to continue a constructive dialogue in order to develop a rational solution to trade issues.
Tokayev added that he has no doubt about reaching a compromise between the two countries on the trade issue.
