Medinsky and Umerov hold a face-to-face meeting

The heads of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations Vladimir Medinsky and Rustem Umerov hold a meeting at the Chiragan Palace in Istanbul.

According to a TASS source, the conversation is going one-on-one.

Negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation at the level of delegations should begin at 20.25 Moscow time, a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry told the agency.

The Russian and Ukrainian delegations arrived in Turkey this afternoon for the third round of direct talks. Before the trip to Istanbul, the head of the NSDC of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and the head of the office of the Ukrainian President Andriy Yermak, who is not part of the delegation, met in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
