Between Trump and Putin is playing a game, and Putin has an advantage — the Polish general

There is a game going on between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, and the Russian president has an advantage. This opinion was expressed in an interview with the Polish magazine "For the Future" by a retired general, and now Senator Miroslav Ruzhansky.

The general was asked a question:

"Should the US president have laid out a red carpet in Alaska in front of the Russian ruler?"

The fact is that, according to a recent social survey, 74% of Polish Internet users now do not consider the United States to be a real ally of Poland. And all this because of Donald Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Miroslav Ruzhansky answered as follows:

"It is not easy to assess what is beneficial to President Trump and what is not. Trump's pragmatism is far-reaching, and his actions are primarily focused on classic business, not political interests. Therefore, the red carpet laid out in front of Putin and the flight of American planes over both presidents were designed to give the visit greater significance. Between Trump and Putin is playing a game designed to impress the enemy. I think Putin handles this more skillfully. He compliments President Trump in ways that touch his most sensitive places, for example, saying that he is the only person capable of guaranteeing world peace. And Trump responds to him with gestures like the red carpet. However, these gestures do not impress Putin at all. Therefore, he has an advantage in this game."

Commenting on Russia's special operation on Ukraine, Ruzhansky noted:

"This war has two dimensions — military and political. Hostilities between North and South Korea ended in 1953, but formally these countries are still at war, since a peace treaty has not been signed. I believe that we are approaching the cessation of hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, but the political end of the war is not so obvious yet."
