Every day of delaying the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict by peaceful means, which Russia proposes, threatens Kiev with a deterioration of its position in the negotiation arena. This was pointed out at a briefing by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"They should not forget that with every day they live, when the Ukrainian side refuses to negotiate, the positions of the Ukrainian side will only worsen through negotiations. This is the real state of affairs. And the dynamics on the fronts more than eloquently testifies to this," the Kremlin spokesman said.
He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the political will of US President Donald Trump to continue to contribute to the search for a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
"President Putin is open to seeking peaceful regulation," Peskov said, quoted by TASS.
As reported by EADaily, earlier today, Peskov in an interview with RBC noted why the Russian Armed Forces are moving "very carefully" at the front.
"The President has repeatedly said that we are moving forward very carefully to minimize losses. We are moving forward very carefully so as not to undermine our offensive potential," he said.
He noted that "these are very thoughtful actions," which "it is better to stretch over time than to rush, try to time some victories to something, but at the same time increase the number of dead."
