Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was created by Russian intelligence to have a figure close to the British royal family. It is reported by the British Daily Mail with reference to a secret report of American intelligence.
The top secret report says that Russian agents considered Andrew a "useful idiot" and a "weak link" of the royal family, the newspaper writes.
The top-secret document prepared by an unnamed security service, which was reviewed by the publication, is dated January 15, 2025 and is called "Political corruption: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor" with the subtitle "Russian Union". The report claims that Russian spies played on the long-standing jealousy of the now ex-Duke of York, who believed that he would be the best king, for his older brother, along with Andrew's desire to receive "financial, sexual and personal rewards."
It is alleged that the Kremlin, unbeknownst to Prince Andrew, used his close ties with pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein to infiltrate British elite circles.
"In it (the report. — EADaily) it is said that Russian intelligence developed networks using figures such as Jeffrey Epstein to access political and business leaders and control any possible actions of domestic law enforcement agencies. It says that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was created by Russian intelligence to have a figure close to the British royal family," a source told DM.
The document explicitly states that Andrew "has long hated his brother Charles, whom he considers weak ... hated the attention and admiration that Charles received as the future king, believing that he (Andrew himself. - EADaily) is best suited for this role and surpasses the then Prince of Wales," the publication writes.
"When asked why he could have been targeted by Russian spies, our source said: "This will allow them to conduct both intelligence and corruption operations both in the UK, in the EU and in the wider world."… Using (Andrew) as a cover ensured the legitimacy of corruption operations around the world. (Andrew) was not blackmailed or forced into this role — on the contrary, he voluntarily participated in these schemes for the sake of financial, sexual and personal rewards. Russian intelligence used (Andrew's) sexual inclinations to establish relationships and use this mental state for further gain,"the publication says.
As reported by EADaily, the brother of the King of Great Britain, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was detained on suspicion in connection with the investigation of the case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein. This was reported by the British media.
After almost 12 hours of interrogation, he was released.
