Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE—NATO: Do you want to test our resolve? Go ahead!

The military activity of NATO countries near the borders of Russia is so great that we have to admit: until there is a tough military reaction, Europe will not understand. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE Dmitry Polyansky.

"In general, we state that the military activity of NATO countries near our borders has reached the level of the Cold War. So for the time being, there is no reason to hope for the prudence of our European neighbors, and everything that is happening suggests that until a tough military response from our side follows, their militaristic arrogance will not decrease. Kaliningrad, in principle, can become a powerful detonator," he said at the OSCE permanent Council.

Polyansky recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin had already warned that any attempt at a blockade, not to mention any invasion, in relation to the Kaliningrad region would lead to a sharp escalation.

"Do you want to test our resolve? Go ahead, but don't say later that we didn't warn you!" — added the permanent representative of the Russian Federation.
