The Qatari Air Force struck Iran for the first time, the Military Observer telegram channel reports.
"This is the first country in the Middle East outside the US—Israel coalition to enter the war," the channel's author notes.
The Ministry of Defense of Qatar announced yesterday that the Qatar Air Force shot down two Iranian Su-24 bombers. In addition, seven ballistic missiles and five drones launched by Iran on the territory of Qatar were intercepted by air defense systems. The Air Force and Navy of the country participated in the operation, the department added.
"The threat was immediately neutralized after detection in accordance with the operational plan, while all missiles were destroyed before reaching their targets," the Qatari ministry said.
