The State Duma of the Russian Federation in the second and third readings adopted legislative amendments that simplify the procedure for checking drivers for intoxication.
As reported on the website of the Duma electronic database, now drivers suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol will be easier to remove from driving.
The document amends the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and provides for a reduction in the volume of mandatory procedural documents that are drawn up when signs of intoxication are detected.
In particular, the registration of some documents for traffic police inspectors becomes optional. In addition, it will be possible to put a mark on the removal and detention of the car with an indication of the date and place in other documents.
Thus, the amendments make it possible to record certain procedural actions, including removal from control and detention of a vehicle.
This can be done both within the framework of one document and in the form of a corresponding mark in the already compiled case materials.
Recall that the procedure in force until now provided for three to five documents to be issued to an intoxicated driver. Drawing up a protocol on removal from driving a vehicle in each case was, in the opinion of the authors of the document, this measure was excessive.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the State Traffic Inspectorate denied information about the tightening of liability against motorists for violating traffic safety legislation from May 1.
