Russia has launched a retaliatory strike against military targets on Ukraine, including "Hazel". This was announced today, May 24, by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"In response to the terrorist attacks... a massive strike was carried out by the armed forces with ballistic missiles "Oreshnik" and aeroballistic missiles on civilian objects on the territory of Russia"Iskander, Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles and Zircon cruise missiles... at military command facilities, air bases and enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine," the department said.
It is noted that the military also used air-, sea- and land-based cruise missiles and UAVs.
"Operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated oil refining, energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition and fuel depots, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 149 districts," the report said.
According to the Ministry of Defense, "all the targets of the attack have been achieved."
Recall, on the night of May 24, an air alert was announced throughout Ukraine. Six series of explosions thundered in Kiev. The sounds of detonation were heard in many other cities, including Kropyvnytskyi and Cherkasy.
