Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko suggested that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin abandon the holding of "inefficient forums" to save the budget. The idea was voiced during a meeting with representatives of the Council of the Chamber SF today, June 29.
Matvienko suggested analyzing the system of existing forums in the country, which are held with federal funds, as well as their impact and effectiveness, and considering the possibility of holding them more rarely to save money.
"We will definitely look at the forums. I support what you are saying, to minimize some activities that somehow do not have a targeted impact," Mishustin said. — Without a doubt, it is important that business, industrialists, entrepreneurs formulate and organize such work. The government will support this to the extent that it is reasonable for the areas of activity and functions that we have."
