The Netherlands should participate in the creation of a coalition of states that will be sent to Ukraine after the end of the conflict. Relevant recommendations on taking "active political and military participation" of the country in a potential international mission in Ukraine after the conclusion of the ceasefire agreement are contained in the conclusion of the Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV) under the Government of the Kingdom.

The conclusion of the council notes that the Government of the Netherlands should participate in the creation of a coalition of states that will assume "political and military leadership of the future international guarantee mission." At the same time, the Council recommends that The Hague not only contribute at the political level, but also provide a military contingent.

It is emphasized that the decision on the deployment of Dutch military personnel should be taken by the Parliament separately, in accordance with constitutional norms. The authorities should also determine in advance what units and capabilities the country will be able to provide for such a mission.

In addition, the conclusion of the Advisory Council on International Affairs contains a recommendation that European countries should take on "long-term commitments" to finance and military support for Ukraine, regardless of the timing and prospects of a possible ceasefire agreement.

According to the authors of the document, the possibility of a ceasefire in the Ukrainian conflict allegedly "directly depends on the preservation of large-scale military assistance" to Kiev, including continuous supplies of ammunition, air defense systems, logistical support and assistance in restoring military infrastructure. The Council also recommends investing simultaneously in the development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and increasing the production capabilities of the European defense industry. According to AIV, such a policy should become part of the "long-term security strategy" of Europe, and not depend on the course of negotiations on the settlement of the conflict at the Ukraine.

Recall, the Netherlands condemns Russia's actions on Ukraine and strongly support Kiev. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly stressed that they oppose the appearance of the Western military on Ukrainian territory.
