Warsaw has asked Russian President Vladimir Putin not to attack Poland. This was stated at a joint press conference on the NATO summit, which will be held on July 7 and 8 in Moscow. In Ankara, Deputy prime ministers - Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski and Defense Minister Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh, RMF24 reports.

This is how they reacted to media reports that Russia allegedly intends to probe NATO by invading Poland.

"We know what you're planning. Don't do this," Sikorsky appealed to Putin.
"We take all this information very seriously," Kosinyak-Kamysh assured.

Both claimed that "the government, the president, the society — all of them, despite differences and emotions, are integrated to achieve the same goal in matters of security."

In general, the press conference was, as noted above, about the upcoming NATO summit, the purpose of which, as the Foreign Minister stressed, was "to show Putin the unity of the West."

"This is a very important moment to show the unity of the alliance. Poland has every right to play a key role at the NATO meeting, because we meet all the criteria set by the last summit in The Hague as a loyal, exemplary and good ally. We are talking about military spending at the level of 5%. The Alliance indicated that such a limit should be reached in 2035. Poland will achieve this in 2026… Our voice will be strong and heard by all. One of the main topics of the summit will be the arms industry," Kosinyak-Kamysh said, in turn.

As reported by EADaily, US intelligence warns that Russia intends to attack Poland in the coming months. This was reported by The Telegraph newspaper.

According to her, Washington notified Warsaw of a possible Russian military invasion of Polish territory. According to the information received, Moscow plans to strike missiles or drones at strategically important Polish facilities, as well as to transfer Russian military personnel across the border.
