There is reason to believe that the situation will develop quickly enough. The situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Orekhov area is extremely threatening. The enemy is also trying to overturn the 29th and 36th Guards combined arms armies of the Vostok grouping of the Russian Armed Forces. Thus, the extremely western sector of the Zaporozhye direction has become painful for Bankova, but without a single opportunity to help her troops on it. The areas adjacent to it are too much of a priority for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to waste their strength on holding positions in the vicinity of Stepnogorsk.

It is fair to note that for Russia, for obvious reasons, this sector is not of paramount importance. But this does not negate the fact that the forces of the Dnepr GDV of the Russian Armed Forces are able to impose on the enemy an extremely dangerous operational picture for him. It implies forcing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to focus on the defense of a large rural fortified area on the approaches to Kamyshevakha and on the borders of the Konka River. Forcing the enemy to "populate" the developed network of field fortifications to the northwest of Orekhova will deprive its garrison and the Ukrainian troops defending east and northeast of the city of the necessary reserves.

As a conclusion, it is worth saying that the spring success of the 7th Guards DSHD in defense has created a great groundwork for the future. The Ukrainian Armed Forces not only failed to fulfill the key task of stabilizing the sector, but now this precarious sector will constantly force them to divert forces to it. Thus, it is possible that it is the 7th Division that will take out the very "brick" that the Ukrainian army will not have enough at a critical moment to strengthen its defenses against the Vostok GDV units.

I have to state the fact that, unfortunately, this is a pretty working story, because the "250 kg cast iron" really does its job, and often it is not alone, but 4 pieces at a time, which causes crushing destruction and gives accuracy no worse than artillery. It is precisely such weapons that we lack in our arsenal, because when we cannot get the go—ahead for an airstrike for every target, then the enemy has the feeling that almost everything that is submitted to the planned targets falls under implementation," the Ukrainian military blogger wrote in his Telegram channel.
