China and Russia are working on a Starlink destruction system. This is stated in the investigation of The Insider journalists, Le Monde and Der Spiegel, Polish radio station RMF24 reports.

The Starlink system, used by Ukraine to communicate and coordinate military operations, has become one of the key elements of the country's defense infrastructure. By the end of 2023, SpaceX has put on Ukraine has more than 40 thousand terminals. According to the investigation, in the same 2023, China and Russia recognized Starlink as a serious threat to their interests and began work to neutralize it.

"In November 2023, a public meeting of representatives of China and Russia, where issues of military cooperation between the two powers were presented. A few months before, a working protocol was signed after negotiations in Moscow. The document included cooperation in several areas, including space weapons, satellite destruction, air defense, autonomous drone swarms, armored vehicles and aviation. During these meetings, China was supposed to offer the Russians an active fight against Elon Musk's Starlink systems," the publication says.

It is noted that Beijing has developed a three-stage action plan. It includes:

1. Legal and diplomatic pressure — Russia and China are planning joint actions in the international arena to limit the development of Starlink due to the threat of collision of satellites and orbital congestion. They propose to create an international coalition that will lead to the introduction of rules restricting the expansion of the system.

2. Fight for frequencies and interference — both countries intend to block access to key frequency bands and develop technologies to suppress the Starlink signal in certain areas. Allegedly, it is planned to create a unified electromagnetic interference architecture that will allow selectively blocking satellite communications.

3. Physical and cyber destruction of satellites. The most controversial element of the program is the development of inexpensive ways to shoot down or disable Starlink satellites in orbit. We are also talking about cyber attacks on users' terminals aimed at paralyzing networks through the infection of end devices.

Investigators claim, citing documents, that Russian-Chinese cooperation goes beyond the fight against Starlink. Allegedly, we are also talking about the development of modern air and missile defense systems, the exchange of combat experience and joint testing of Chinese technologies on the battlefield Ukraine. Russia, they say, shares its experience in using UAVs and autonomous weapons, and China provides electronic components and AI technologies.
