Poland set a record for the deportation of migrants in the first quarter of 2026. This is reported by the Polish media.
It is reported that in the first six months Warsaw deported 5,640 foreigners, which is 28% more than a year earlier. At the same time, an even sharper acceleration of deportation is observed compared to 2022, when half as many were expelled from the country in 12 months as in six months of 2026. It is noted that in March and April 2026, the number of migrants sent from Poland returned home by plane, exceeded 1150 and 1130 people, respectively.
Recall deportations from Poland is carried out mainly by the Border Guard Service in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration. The grounds for extradition decisions, as a rule, indicate illegal residence, violation of the law or a threat to national security.
