Despite the difficult situation in the country, Russia will increase the supply of petroleum products to Mongolia. This was stated by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia Gongoryn Damdinnyam.

"Despite the difficult situation inside the country, I express my gratitude to the government of the Russian Federation and enterprises for their help in overcoming this unprecedented difficult period, respecting the historically friendly relations between our two countries," the minister wrote on Twitter, Interfax reports.

According to Gongoryn Damdinnyam, by the end of August, the Russian side will additionally supply 25 thousand tons of Ai-92 gasoline and 5 thousand tons of aviation kerosene to Mongolia.

According to Interfax, the demand for fuel in Mongolia has increased two to three times due to tourists, agricultural work and the situation with fuel in Russia, which is the main supplier. In response, Mongolia began to look for petroleum products in other countries. For example, South Korea has agreed to supply at least 50 thousand tons of fuel per month. Also, the first purchase from China took place — 1 thousand tons.
