The Iranian armed forces were ordered to prepare an offensive. This was stated on Iranian television by Brigadier General of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Mohammad Sardar Nakdi, Press TV reports.

"When the situation demands it and the order is given, we must be able to transfer the operation to enemy territory, to enemy lands, and conduct operations far from our territory. These are the features of the offensive doctrine that must be ensured. That is, now the IRGC has been instructed to acquire such readiness, to create such an ability in order to be able to complete this task at the right time," the general said.

According to him, within the framework of the new strategy, it is planned to expand the tasks of the Basij volunteer forces. Their role may go beyond internal security and be aimed at creating flexible lines of defense and attack in the region in the interests of Iran's new offensive doctrine.

Nakdi stressed that Iran has an extensive industrial base (more than 950 cities and industrial complexes), and warned that strikes on missile arsenals will not paralyze its capabilities.

Earlier, he said that the production of Iranian missiles and drones exceeds their consumption.
