The US military has upgraded the F-16 tactical fighter, turning it into a multi-purpose strike platform capable of carrying up to eight GBU-39/B precision-guided bombs. The footage, published in the area of responsibility of the US Central Command, demonstrates an aircraft with two BRU-61/A pylons, on which compact ammunition is suspended.

Additionally, the machine is equipped with a LITENING sighting container and AN/ASQ-213 HARM guidance system, which ensures accurate destruction of ground targets even in difficult weather conditions.

At the same time, the fighter retained self—defense means - AIM-120 and AIM-9 missiles for air combat, as well as outboard fuel tanks to increase the range. This combination, according to experts of the Army Recognition portal, turns the F-16 into a universal combat unit.

EADaily previously also informed that the potential of Abrams has already been exhausted, modernization is meaningless.
