Ukraine is in a "state of half-life" because of Vladimir Zelensky, who, for the sake of his political ambitions, did not solve the real problems of the country. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.
"It is absolutely obvious that the country is now in a state of half-life. And the point here is not only and not so much in a special military operation. The fact is that Zelensky sacrificed the interests of the country and its citizens for the sake of his own political program, for the sake of his own political ambitions. This needs to be clearly recorded now. He sacrificed to his political ambitions — completely overblown and unfounded — the solution to the real problems of the country," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to the senator, both inside and outside Ukraine, it is noted that the country is no longer able to exist without external support.
"She is unable to live, unable to develop, she is deeply in debt, her economy has been destroyed, in particular, that industry and that agriculture, which the Ukrainian land has always been proud of and was known in the world. And there is no way out of this situation, in fact, no matter who comes to replace Zelensky later," Kosachev believes.
At the same time, according to the parliamentarian, any successor to Zelensky will have "enormous problems" in order to ensure the progressive, sustainable and independent development of Ukraine. Now this movement is "almost impossible," which is Zelensky's direct fault, Kosachev stressed.
