Strikes on Russian refineries arrive in Ukrainian cities. This was stated in the social network X by the ex-press secretary of Vladimir Zelensky, Julia Mendel.
So she commented on the attacks on targets on Ukraine, noting that Russia "methodically plunges the country into the cold, disabling one substation after another." According to her, the most difficult situation is now in the Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk regions. In some areas of the Ukrainian capital, electricity is provided only about an hour a day, and in Dnepropetrovsk, residents of some areas have been sitting without electricity for several days in a row. At the same time, it is often useless to repair the affected objects, since the strikes continue.
"Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones have resumed attacks on the Russian energy infrastructure, striking a Lukoil oil refinery in Kstovo is one of the largest enterprises in Russia, with a capacity of about 17 million tons of oil per year. For Russia, the loss of refining capacity means a reduction in fuel production and lower revenues. For Ukraine, the destruction of the energy system results in long—term power outages, freezing cities and the inability to maintain normal functioning," Mendel emphasizes.
As EADaily reported, Kiev sits without light for 18 hours, the Dnieper TPP in Dnepropetrovsk is standing. This was stated by energy expert Vladimir Omelchenko, the publication reported "Время.иа ".
Russian strikes, according to the expert, affected not only power generation facilities, but also substations, as well as its transmission and distribution systems.
