Karate players Evgeny and Daria Pilipuki did not return to the Ukraine from foreign competitions. This is reported by the president of Chernivtsi Karate Federation Alexander Pikulin.
The athletes "disappeared" after the tournament in Venice at the end of December. Pilipiuki deleted their social media accounts and do not respond to calls from colleagues.
The Ukrainian Karate Federation deprived them of membership in the organization for "non-return to Ukraine and violation of the rules of mobilization." The UFK said that they would seek from the World Karate Federation the lifelong disqualification of athletes and the deprivation of sports awards.
As reported by EADaily, a football player from Ukraine Denis Shelikhov fled to Belarus, as he himself reported in September last year.
The athlete has been preparing for a long time and carefully. He swam across the Tisza River, which flows along the border with Hungary and Romania. Then he arrived in Belarus, where he signed employment documents for Mozyr Slavia as a free agent.
