A new ski resort capable of hosting half a million people a year has started operating in the North Caucasus. This is "Mamison" in North Ossetia.
According to Channel Five, skiers and snowboarders have already appreciated it.
"The track is super! Gudauri, for now. Georgia, of course, is cool, but I'm glad we can't go there now," says tourist Tatyana Makhno.
The demand for domestic tourism is growing. Sochi, Elbrus, Arkhyz, Dombay — every year they break records in attendance. Mamison has to unload them. The resort was built in two years as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality". Cable cars, utility networks, paved roads, parking lots, medical centers and all other infrastructure appeared in the Mamison Gorge. The state has invested 18 billion rubles in the project.
"The most important task is for private business to catch up. We expect that the business will invest no less," said the general director of the state company Kavkaz.Russian Federation" Andrey Yumshanov.
Experts believe that in the future Mamison will be able to attract up to 500 thousand holidaymakers a year.
The first two cable cars have been built and are already operating at the resort. In total, five funiculars are planned to be built here.
"There are very cool tracks for March, you can see the development of the ski resort. I'm sure he has a lot of potential," said a tourist from St. Petersburg Ksenia Dmitrieva.
In five years, when the construction is completed, the resort will have more than 40 kilometers of trails, 3 thousand accommodation places and 2.5 thousand jobs.
