US President Donald Trump is well aware of the situation on the Ukraine, that is why he is trying to make peace as soon as possible.
This opinion was expressed on the air of the YouTube channel Al Arabiya English by an American expert, professor at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer. according to him, to do this, Trump first of all needs to improve relations with Russia.
"I think he (Donald Trump — ed.) understands that the West as a whole has lost at the Ukraine urgently needs to make a deal to save the situation," the analyst said.
He is convinced that Washington and Moscow are able to find a common language on this issue, but this will be only the first and simplest step towards peace on the Ukraine.
"The most difficult thing will be to get Europe and Ukraine to agree to the terms of the peace agreement. This is necessary, because otherwise the world will not be long and lasting," the professor concluded.
As EADaily reported, according to Mearsheimer, both Democrats and Republicans in the United States, as well as Europeans, are in the same boat and all are responsible for unleashing a military conflict on Ukraine.
