Law enforcement agencies of Belarus found active members of an extremist organization who were on the territory of the republic. This was reported by the Belarusian Investigative Committee on May 29.
It is reported that more than a thousand users of the New Belarus platform, recognized as extremist in Belarus, have been installed.
"The illegal activities of the participants of the formation, including active users located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, were stopped by law enforcement agencies. Investigators have information about the structure of the extremist formation, its members, leaders, goals and motives for functioning. There is reliable information regarding more than 1,000 users who have registered in the New Belarus application and other services included in it," the UK reported.
Also, the department explained that the Main Investigation Department The Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case against the head of the mentioned extremist interactive platform Pavel Lieber and its participants.

Recall that an attempted coup d'etat was carried out in Belarus in 2020. After that, Belarusian law enforcement officers began to clean up the country from radicals and extremists. Over the past few years, thousands of representatives of the radical Belarusian opposition have been imprisoned.
