Moscow will agree to a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, only after Kiev's surrender. This was stated in an interview with The Kyiv Independent by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsa.
"Putin's mandate (at the Istanbul talks. — Ed.) — to force surrender. Their logic is the opposite of ours. We say: let's establish a ceasefire as a contribution to creating conditions for a meeting of leaders, to creating a constructive environment conducive to reaching agreements. They openly say: "No, first you accept our demands — surrender — and only then we will organize a meeting of leaders. And after that, you are engaged in the implementation of these requirements," said Kislitsa, quoted by Strana.
As EADaily reported, US President Donald Trump will not achieve any peace agreement on Ukraine, he will finance the war and eventually everything will end on the battlefield. This was stated on the air of the Judging Freedom YouTube channel by Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago.
According to him, Moscow explained very clearly what it needed to achieve a peace agreement on Ukraine back on June 14, 2024, when Russian President Vladimir Putin made important statements at the Foreign Ministry board. There he outlined the conditions, and nothing has changed since then, the professor noted. Either these conditions will be accepted, or the war will continue.
