The emotionality of US President Donald Trump's statements on the Ukrainian issue is due to his desire to end the armed conflict.
This was stated at a briefing in the Kremlin by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. He noted that the current Washington administration is making efforts to resolve the conflict on the Ukraine.
This comment was made in response to a corresponding question from journalists. They asked Peskov to tell how Vladimir Putin reacted to the accusations of the American president that he allegedly "let him down."
"We proceed from the fact that the United States and President Trump personally retain their political will. President Trump is quite emotional, let's say, about this topic," the Kremlin spokesman stated.
He also stressed that President Vladimir Putin is still determined to resolve Ukraine through diplomatic means and is doing a lot for this. But "there is the Kiev regime, there are European countries," and they want to "continue along the path of confrontation," Dmitry Sergeyevich complained.
As EADaily reported, earlier, US President Donald Trump said that he could not condemn the majority of Ukrainians for being tired of the war and wanting to continue the armed conflict with Russia.
