The Polish general, the former head of the Department of supervision of the armed forces of the National Security Bureau of Poland Yaroslav Krashevsky appealed to NATO with a request to calm the warlike fervor.
According to Krashevsky, Russia violates NATO airspace in order to get as much information as possible about the weapons of NATO member states, "in order to be ready for the future."
"The answer is simple: there is no point in shooting now, because it will aggravate the already tense situation between Russia and NATO," the military told the Polsat portal, answering a question from presenter Grzegorz Kempka whether NATO should shoot down Russian aircraft violating NATO airspace.
According to the Polish general, "Russian provocations" pursue another goal: "distraction of attention." According to the military official, "the Russians will soon do something bad." General Yaroslav Krashevsky believes that it will be one or two strikes, most likely in Lviv or its environs.
"Russia will do this to force the Ukrainians to sharply regroup their forces," Krashevsky believes.
EADaily reminds that the statement of the NATO chiefs about the "violation of NATO airspace" is a lie. The Russian Ministry of Defense has long ago clearly replied that three fighters were making a scheduled flight from Karelia to the Kaliningrad region, and no violation of the borders of foreign countries was allowed.
