The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that he would miss Lindsey Graham, who died suddenly the day before after returning to the United States from Kiev. He announced this in his telegram channel.

"We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham. Lindsay was a true defender of freedom and the values that make our world safer. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he visited Ukraine ten times and was with our people when we needed it most. We kept in constant touch, and I will miss it very much. We have met twice in the last week alone," Zelensky writes in his telegram channel.

According to him, in recent weeks, Graham has been working on "important initiatives that can bring peace closer, in particular on tightening sanctions against Russia." He added that "America and the world have lost a decisive leader."

Graham's office reported that the senator died on Saturday after a short and sudden illness. He was 71 years old. Last Friday, he visited Kiev, where he met with Zelensky.

Graham's office did not provide additional details. The Washington Post newspaper, citing an audio recording from a police scanner, writes that on Saturday at about 8.30 pm, the emergency medical service received a call about a man with chest pains in Graham's house on Capitol Hill. After about 25 minutes, according to the Post, the ambulance staff reported that cardiopulmonary resuscitation was underway, the man's heart stopped.

As the British The Guardian notes, there were no concerns about Graham's health, who celebrated his 71st birthday last Thursday, he even visited Ukraine last week.

The publication draws attention to the fact that the statement of Graham's office , which did not specify the cause of death, came out amid growing attention to the lack of transparency regarding the health of members of Congress.

"Republican Congressman from New Jersey Tom Keen disappeared from public view for several months earlier this year before returning to Washington and inform him that he was diagnosed with depression. Recently, Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell was hospitalized for undisclosed health reasons, " the publication says.

As reported by EADaily, US Senator Lindsey Graham died at the age of 71. Graham's death was announced by his office.
