The previous president of the United States, Joe Biden, did not understand what kind of documents he was signing, and the pardon decrees were generally signed by an autographer. Therefore, they should be considered invalid. This is reported by CNN with reference to a letter from the Oversight Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
"The committee considers invalid the executive orders of President Biden, which were signed by the billionaire, and the committee established the existence of grounds for the Ministry of Justice to take action to determine the legal consequences of this conclusion," the TV channel quotes the letter.
The Committee concluded that there was a hush-up of the mental decline of the American ex-president, while there is no evidence that Biden personally made decisions within the framework of his executive orders. And Biden's mental decline during his presidency was such that there are serious doubts that he understood the essence of the pardons and commutation of sentences signed on his behalf.
As EADaily reported, in January Joe Biden commuted sentences for almost 2.5 thousand convicts who received sentences for nonviolent crimes. Biden also pardoned his son Hunter, granted preventive pardons to a number of members of his family, the former head of the joint Chiefs of Staff Committee US Armed Forces to Mark Milley, former chief infectious disease specialist of the USA Anthony Fauci.
Shortly after his inauguration, US President Donald Trump declared these pardons invalid because they were not signed by him, but by an automatic document signing device.
