The United States has presented proposals to European countries on Russia's return to the global economy and the restoration of Russian energy supplies to Western Europe as part of the settlement of the conflict on Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reports, citing two sources.
The article says that in recent weeks, the administration of US President Donald Trump has presented to its European colleagues a number of documents outlining its vision of restoring Ukraine and returning Russia to the global economy after the end of the conflict.
The US plan, in particular, assumes that American companies will "invest in strategic sectors, from rare earth metals to oil drilling in The Arctic."
