Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban left Brussels after a summit of EU leaders, having defeated the European Union. This is reported by Politico.
"Orban left Brussels this morning in high spirits, having won ... a major victory over the EU by blocking a loan to Ukraine," the article says.
Earlier, at the EU summit, they tried to force Hungary and Slovakia to agree on a loan to Kiev for 90 billion euros. However, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Budapest will support Ukraine only after it stops blocking the transit of oil from Russia via the Druzhba oil pipeline.
