Singer, winner of the "Star Factory" project, who previously represented Russia at the "Eurovision" contest, now Honored Artist of Ukraine Anastasia Prikhodko defiantly switched to Russian in the public sphere. She explained her linguistic " performance" in an interview with the Ukrainian-language YouTube channel "Superposition".

Note that the description of this channel and all its videos, including interviews, are published in Ukrainian, but Prikhodko gives interviews mainly in Russian, the title of the meeting is also written in Russian.

During the interview on the mou, it is discussed that Prikhodko began singing and writing songs in Ukrainian long before it became a mandatory trend — since 2014-2015. Explaining this with her principled position, the singer smoothly switches to Russian.

"Because I realized that this tool was being used as manipulation. This is not to make something good. Therefore, it turns out that, alas, this is a language, and in this way I support the most vulnerable population — these are people from Donbass, where I have been more than once", the artist explained.

These people are now most likely to fall under the "negative state, infringement, and so on".

"I decided that I would be like that, and I would not take part in these manipulations, " Prikhodko summed up .

Interviewer-journalist Yulia Litvinenko recalled that it was Prikhodko who persuaded the producers to have the chorus in the song for "Eurovision" in Ukrainian.

Anastasia Prikhodko was born in Kiev and now lives there, she is 39 years old. In 2007, she took part in the Channel One show "Star Factory 7 ", in which she took first place. At the "Eurovision-2009" contest, she represented Russia with the Ukrainian-Russian song "Mamo" and took 11th place.

As reported by EADaily, in September 2023, Prikhodko demanded that the singer, at that time People's Artist of Ukraine Taisiya Povaliy, be deprived of Ukrainian citizenship for participating in a concert in the Kremlin " Songs of the Russian World".

In March of this year, the singer's brother, famous Ukrainian journalist and blogger Nazar Prikhodko received 6.5 years in prison in absentia under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activities committed using the "Internet" information and telecommunications network). The verdict was handed down by the 2nd Western District Military Court.
