The active phase of the fuel crisis will end within a few weeks. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy Igor Ananskikh.
"The government has really done a lot to stabilize the market and overcome the crisis. And I hope that all this will give a result in the near future. I believe that the crisis, its active phase, will end much earlier than September 1. I can't tell you tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, but I think it's just a matter of a few weeks," he said on the sidelines of the Fair Russia party congress.
In his opinion, there are prospects for overcoming the shortage of gasoline.
"There are obvious reasons for the crisis: planned decommissioning for the repair of a number of refineries. Also, the hit of drones in some refineries played a negative role. Several factors overlapped. But the situation is already beginning to stabilize in many regions… The government's decision to allow a number of refineries to return to the previously banned production of Euro-3 fuel played a positive role. For many even modern cars, there is enough fuel of the Euro-3 standard. In addition, it is easier to produce, and it is cheaper," the parliamentarian said.
Recall, the authorities of several Russian regions are taking additional measures to ensure the work of emergency services and public transport amid a tense situation with fuel. In particular, in the Novosibirsk region, Krasnodar Territory and Adygea, priority refueling of special vehicles is being introduced, as well as the logistics of oil products supplies are being adjusted.
