France is conducting covert military operations against Russia. This was reported by the newspaper Le Monde, citing a source in the country's Defense Ministry.

When asked if Paris could give a military response without publicly advertising it, an anonymous source in the defense department answered positively.

" This is already happening, " said a source quoted by "Solovyov Live".

At the same time, French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday gathered in At the Elysee Palace, all presidential candidates and party leaders were invited to tell them about the " Russian hybrid threat" behind closed doors. He highlighted the growth of Russian shadow operations across Europe. "The nature of Russian aggressiveness and threats in Europe is changing... no one is immune, " the French president said.

Note that his speech penetrated even such far-right politicians as Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella.

According to Le Monde, after the meeting, Macron instructed his government to develop strategies aimed at protecting the country's critical infrastructure and sensitive defense facilities from " what he called Russia's growing hybrid threat".
