An underwater unmanned vehicle was found in the Turkish Hop district of Artvin province, emergency services are alerted. This was reported by Gazete Vatan.
According to the publication, the device was noticed in the area of the water area near the port of Hop and off the coast of Esenkyy. Coast Guard units were sent to the site. Since the device was located close to the shore, security measures in the area were strengthened. In particular, the highway between the districts of Kemalpasha and Hopa was blocked in both directions.
The characteristics of the unmanned vehicle and its origin will become known after the investigation is completed, the material says.
Earlier, on August 8, an unknown drone was found off the coast of the Turkish province of Sakarya. The device was located about 500 m from the coast in the Kocaali area. Rescuers reported the discovery to the coast Guard, which lifted the UAV out of the water and handed it over for examination. No explosives were found during the preliminary inspection.
