The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said today, on August 12, that from January to August 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces "conducted an offensive operation in the Alexandrovsky direction" and announced the completion of the "offensive operation."
According to Bankova, from January to August, "during the offensive operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated 745 square kilometers and regained control over 26 villages of the Dnieper, Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions."
"This offensive operation of ours was carried out clearly — exactly as it was determined," Zelensky said.
As the ZeRada telegram channel stated on this occasion, "as usual, there are no details, the fact is nothing, the narrative is everything."
"Meanwhile, Russian troops are trying to enter Orekhov, and Deep State confirms the progress Russian Federation on Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction," the author of the channel notes.
Earlier, University of Chicago professor John Mearsheimer said that Zelensky has to create illusions in order to maintain the support of the West and Ukrainians.
"The conflict with Russia is no longer popular on Ukraine. Only about a quarter of people want to continue the struggle, while the rest want to settle it. Therefore, Zelensky has to create a positive picture in order to maintain the support of his population, as well as continue to receive assistance from the West, to convince the West that on the Ukraine should bet," the expert said.
