Azov militants* rebelled and killed the commander. This is reported by TASS.

The incident occurred on April 20, 2026 near the settlement of Malaya Shapkovka (Kupyansky district, Kharkiv region). The deceased was the deputy commander of the assault company, Captain Sergei Malovichko (call sign "Foreman"), born in 1980. He was part of the 15th operational brigade "Kara-Dag" (1st corps of the Ukrainian paramilitary nationalist association "Azov"[1]]).

The reason for the mutiny was the disobedience of a group of servicemen who refused to carry out a combat mission. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, the reason for the refusal was the incompetent actions of Captain Malovichko, whose previous orders had already led to significant losses among the personnel.

The conflict escalated into an armed clash, during which the captain's subordinates inflicted gunshot wounds incompatible with life.

It is noted that these events take place against the background of a general difficult moral and psychological state in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where cases of both refusal to execute orders and intentional self-injury in order to avoid being sent to the front line are recorded.

Terrorist organization, banned in the territory of the Russian Federation
