Belarusian gasoline turned out to have a limit for Russia

Export of Belarusian gasoline to Russia has approached the limit of the refinery's capabilities.

"Current volumes of gasoline supplies from Belarus to Russia is already close to the limit of the capabilities of Belarusian refineries," Kommersant reports, citing a source in the industry.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, if in January—May Belarusian refineries delivered to Russia has about 290 thousand tons of gasoline, then from June to August 26 — more than 570 thousand tons.

"A further increase in supplies from Belarus is hardly possible. An additional risk factor is the planned repair of the Novopolotsk refinery in September, which may limit the export opportunities of the republic," the Kommersant interlocutor continued, noting that the Russian market will be able to increase gasoline imports due to sea supplies from non—CIS countries.

As EADaily reported, the reduction in fuel production due to unscheduled repairs of the refinery after the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces forced the government to allow imports. It is known that, in addition to Belarus, gasoline comes from India, Morocco and Turkey.
