Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in the Kremlin on September 5 with envoys of the American leader Steven Witkoff and By Jared Kushner.
The motorcade with the special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and the son-in-law of the American leader Jared Kushner left the Kremlin. It is expected that after Moscow they will go on a visit to Kiev.
Vladimir Putin asked to convey his best wishes and words of gratitude to President Donald Trump. He noted that the head of the White House does not give up trying to contribute to the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, stressing that Russia is comfortable working with Witkoff and Kushner.
The Russian President promised to do everything to ensure the safety of the peace talks and the mediators who take part in them.
On the eve of Trump said that his envoys during a visit to Moscow will present a proposal to end the conflict on Ukraine. However, he did not disclose the details of the initiative.
The Russian side has also not yet announced why Trump's envoys came.
