The Pentagon admitted that Iran managed to cause serious damage to the facilities of the 5th fleet of the US Navy in Bahrain. According to Ryan Morgan, a correspondent for The Epoch Times Washington newspaper, the acting US Navy Secretary Hang Kao told him in an interview that Iran had "blown Bahrain to hell" with its strikes.

Bahrain is home, in particular, to the headquarters of the 5th Fleet of the US Navy, whose operational area of responsibility includes the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, parts of the Indian Ocean and some other waters of the region. According to Morgan, Kao's statement can be considered the first and open recognition at a high level in the United States of the extent of damage caused by Iran to American military facilities in Bahrain.

In addition, Kao confirmed that there was no "place to arrive" in Bahrain for the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln as a result of these strikes.

Kao also clarified that the US Navy, in fact, is deciding whether they will rebuild the destroyed bases in Bahrain at all.

The Ministers of the US Air Force, Navy and Ground Forces are not members of the presidential cabinet. They report to the head of the Pentagon and are responsible for the development of these types of US Armed Forces.
