AfD foreign policy will please Putin — Bild

The AfD's foreign policy will please Putin. This is reported by the Bild newspaper, citing sources.

"How does the AfD intend to build its foreign policy in the future — against the background of the Russian war against Ukraine and the dispute over relations with the United States? According to Bild, the working group on foreign affairs has prepared two policy documents that set a clear course", the publication says.

According to the newspaper's sources, "Alternative for Germany" intends to achieve full normalization of relations with Russia, the resumption of trade, oil and gas purchases, as well as the cessation of military assistance to Kiev.

"The Working Group is completely unanimous in its opinion on the basic principles of our foreign policy, which is a real policy in the national interests of Germany," said Markus Fronmayer, deputy head of the AFD faction in the Bundestag.

At the same time, "Alternative " is preparing a concept of relations with the United States. The AFD welcomes the "reorientation of American foreign policy" under Donald Trump, including a departure from the "global interventionist policies of the past", and supports the US desire to preserve Europe as a "Western European cultural space", the newspaper writes.
