The Matryoshka multi-bullet cartridges, designed to combat drones from Kalashnikov assault rifles, have reached the stage of readiness for mass production. The details were reported to Izvestia by the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (CBST).
The design of the cartridge includes three connected cone-shaped bullets. After leaving the trunk, each of them is divided into three striking elements.
At a distance of 25 meters, these elements diverge by 12-15 centimeters, and at 100 meters by 25-30 centimeters. The development was carried out by the NPP company with the participation of weapons expert Alexei Vasiliev and other specialists, and the declared characteristics were confirmed by a series of tests.
EADaily also recalls the TASS publication of February 2026, which states that the fighters of the tank reconnaissance group of the Nevsky brigade of the volunteer corps created an anti-drone cartridge with a shot for machine guns and Kalashnikov assault rifles.
