Imported gasoline turned out to be too expensive for the stock exchange

Sales of imported gasoline on The St. Petersburg Stock Exchange has stopped, and they have been gone for more than a month.

According to the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange, gasoline sales from the Cola station in the Murmansk region, through which imported gasoline goes, have not been for more than a month. Before that, the auction was held on August 19, 20 and 21. They sold a little more than a thousand tons.

Prices at the auction for imported Ai-92 were high — 105 thousand rubles per ton. And, according to an InfoTEC source, among the possible reasons for stopping sales is the high price, as well as the continuing infrastructure restrictions on receiving and filling fuel in the port of Murmansk. According to him, the bulk of the volume goes under direct contracts.

"They distribute fuel to gas stations, including vertically integrated oil companies, as prices have turned out to be high and sales on the stock exchange will be either expensive or at a great loss, " said the interlocutor of the specialized edition.

According to him, three oil companies delivered imported gasoline to the port of Murmansk and at least seven vessels arrived in the port area.

As reported by EADaily, the government has made changes to the payment of the damper and fuel imports now fall under it. The point is that the supplier is compensated for a significant part of the difference between domestic and export prices. Fuel imports became one of the government's measures to combat the crisis, when gasoline and diesel fuel production decreased due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on Russian refineries. Restrictions were forced to be introduced in many regions. The most difficult situation continues to remain in Crimea and new regions.
