Kiev should have thought about the consequences before launching attacks on marketplaces and other facilities. This was announced today, October 15, by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking via video link at the Business Russia forum-congress.
Ukraine continues to try to strike at Russian oil refineries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"They continue to this day, and yesterday they tried to strike at some refineries," Putin said. "We hit some places, but nothing serious."
He noted that the Russian side should have foreseen attacks on marketplaces, but "it never occurred to us that we could have thought of that."
But Kiev "thought of" the attacks on Ozone and Wildberries, and now asks its sponsors to influence Russia to stop retaliatory strikes. This was the case with energy facilities, and now with refineries, Putin said.
"We started responding... and they are already beeping in the energy sector, and in the data centers, and so on… But they started it first. I shouldn't have started! It was necessary to think about the consequences," Putin summed up.
