Conflict on Ukraine can be solved, however, without Zelensky, US President Donald Trump said on Friday.
"I think they will eventually find, in one form or another, a solution. But it will be without him, as he does not want a settlement," he said in an interview with Newsmax.
Commenting on the journalist's words that Trump had unsuccessfully asked Zelensky not to hit the Russian oil refinery, the American president stressed that it was "difficult for us to deal with the Ukrainian president."
"He only says that he wants to find a peaceful solution, but in fact these are just words. I can't call myself a big fan of Zelensky," the US president added.
In his opinion, under Zelensky, "they destroyed their own country."
