The current Prime Minister of Hungary, Peter Magyar, accused former Prime Minister Viktor Orban of preparing a coup d'etat and threatened him with life imprisonment.

Thus, the Magyar commented on Orban's statement that the Hungarian opposition is ready for national resistance to the current authorities. The prime minister posted the corresponding post on Facebook❶.

"Today, Viktor Orban, laughing, spoke about an armed uprising and a violent change in the constitutional order. This is one of the gravest crimes against the state," Magyar said.

Earlier on October 18, Orban, speaking at the event, said that the Hungarian opposition was ready for national resistance to the current authorities and could "distribute appropriate tools for this — to whom it is dumber, to whom it is sharper."

These words of the ex-prime minister were perceived by the acting head of government as a threat of an armed uprising. Magyar cited articles of the Criminal Code, which provides for five to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment for attempting to overthrow the constitutional order.

Earlier, EADaily reported that the Hungarian parliament repealed a number of provisions of the law restricting the distribution of materials about LGBT❶ among minors. The bill was introduced by the Government of Prime Minister Peter Magyar.
