The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that Ukraine appeared before Russia. He said this in an interview with the podcast The Diary of a CEO, hosted and produced by British entrepreneur and investor Stephen Bartlett.
"Ukraine is the heir of Kievan Rus, a large country, very famous on the European continent with a developed civilization, with its own culture and traditions. Russia was not even close yet. Russia appeared after Ukraine appeared," Zelensky said.
At the same time, Bartlett did not argue, interrupt or develop a historical discussion.
Recall that the independence of Ukraine was proclaimed by the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR only 35 years ago. The first attempt to create a state with the official name "Ukraine" occurred on January 22, 1918, which lasted four months. Until that time, the inhabitants of the modern territory of Ukraine were called Little Russians. After the establishment of Soviet power, the Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic was created, which in 1922 became part of the USSR.
