Kirill Dmitriev, who heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), while in Kazan, where the BRICS summit is taking place in October, confirmed that the solution to the problem of payments that are so necessary for many countries, which do not depend on sanctions, is already "maturing". This was announced today, October 22, by the telegram channel "Pool No. 3".
Moreover, this decision, according to the representative of the RDIF, is already at the final stage of development. Dmitriev also noted the need to further expand the use of bilateral financial mechanisms.
According to the expert, currently 85% of transactions within the association take place in national currencies, which reduces the BRICS dependence on Western financial systems and Western sanctions and trade restrictions.
